What if Money didn’t matter?

Posted by on November 23, 2012

As mentioned in my first article and in the About page, it wasn’t an easy decision to basically leave everything behind to go travelling. After all I had been working for a while, had established a certain professional expertise and had been offered an extension of my employment contract at a renowned company. I think taking that decision or breaking out in general, not necessarily to go travelling, becomes harder and harder the more you are settled. It just gets harder to change and opt for risk and uncertainty. For a certain degree of security people tend to accept things, that actually don’t make them happy. They just learn to accept and live with them. I can’t exempt myself from this and I am not sure if I would be able to take the same path in a few years from now.

This blog is not just about writing about my experiences during the trip but also about thoughts on changing and giving your life a new spin. In the end, it’s called ESCapology.
So if you are in a similar situation or are thinking about changing, wether it is to go travelling, getting a new job or anything else, you might want to check the video below. I found it very inspiring and motivating. Let me know your thoughts on this. Are you or have you been in a similar situation?
