No one has seen the Bird Man of Granville Island since he was ousted out of the Granville Island Market around March, 2014. I did a petition that got 838 signatures on it to allow him to feed his beloved birds. In spite of that, he was cursed at, harassed and and threatened with legal action if he did not leave. He called me (I was his friend) very depressed about it and told me that if they would not allow him to feed his birds, he DID NOT WANT TO LIVE. It is my belief that The Bird Man of Granville Island (Jason D.) committed suicide. I will be going to the police today to file a missing persons report.
Hi Linda, thanks for the update. That sheds a totally different light on this picture and I didn’t know about all the circumstances. I do hope that he did NOT commit suicide. Please feel free to post an update if you get any news. Thanks again for your comment. Much appreciated.
